Emilia Betlej, a senior at North Canyon High, took third in the Division 2 girls discus throw final and javelin throw championship at the Arizona Interscholastic Association state meet at Deer Valley High in Glendale. Betlej produced a personal-best 117-4 (35.77m) in the discus and achieved a 121-5 (37.00m) performance in the javelin for the Rattlers.
