North Canyon senior Stefana Purkovic placed second in the Division 2 girls final at the Arizona AIA State Championships at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix. Purkovic, who finished 12th last year, covered the 5-kilometer course in 18:37.7, as North Canyon was edged by a 94-96 margin by Flagstaff for the team title.
